French Meat Pie

French Meat Pie

Mix together:

3 pounds lean hamburger
2 pounds ground pork
2 medium onions, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
ground allspice to taste
1 to 1-1/2 cups water
1 carton bread crumbs (about 2 cups)

Preheat oven to 400F. Cook everything except crumbs in a large skillet, until meat is cooked. Remove from heat and stir in bread crumbs. Let sit while you roll out pie crusts. This amount will make 6 8-inch or 9-inch
two crust pies. Bake in preheated oven until tops are brown. Serve hot or cold with ketchup or homemade chili sauce
