Fried Chicken in Oven

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a cake pan (or whatever pan you wish to bake in):

Add 1-2 Tablespoons of butter or margarine

Put it in the oven to melt the margarine.

Meanwhile in a bag or bowl, add these ingredients (sorry I don’t measure):


Place the chicken pieces in this mixture and turn to cover them thoroughly. Then place in the pan that has the melted butter in it.

Bake for 30 minutes. Turn the chicken over.

Bake for another 25-30 minutes.

This is so easy and it doesn’t use that much butter. I usually use a regular sized cake pan and only use 1 Tablespoon of margarine. The inside meat is very tender, but the outside is nice and crispy. I’ve taken this to tons of church potlucks and only very rarely is there any chicken for me to eat by the time I get in line!

I originally got this from Bisquick but instead of using that, I just substituted regular flour one day when I ran out of Bisquick and I’ve never gone back to using Bisquick!
