Easy Garlic Green Beans like my Italian Grandma’s
2 cans whole green beans (I use Del Monte brand)
1 Tbsp. minced fresh garlic (or more to taste)
2-3 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 tsp. salt
10-12 grinds freshly-ground black pepper, or more to taste
- Heat skillet until fairly hot.
- Add olive oil.
- Once oil is heated but not smoking, add minced garlic. Cook garlic for about 1 minute, until edges start to brown. (Don’t over-brown garlic).
- Add drained and rinsed green beans to skillet. Saute until beans are just heated through. Add salt and pepper. Saute 1 minute longer and serve.
