I need a light, thin, but a little creamy garlic sauce. No heavy cream. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.
Papa John’s Garlic Sauce, copy cat recipe
1/4 -1/2 stick margarine or butter
1/2 Tablespoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
melt butter in the microwave (about 30 seconds)
add salt and garlic powder (adjust to taste)
microwave 5 more seconds

The secret to any white sauce starts with roux. When you add milk to roux, it becomes bechamel sauce.
You can make any type garlic sauce you’d like by melting some butter in a sauce pan. Add a similar amount of flour to make a “paste”. Cook the proteins out of the flour until it starts to bubble and you smell a “nutty” smell.
Now, add milk in small increments until the sauce is the thickness you’d like.
Then, you can add garlic for garlic sauce, jalapenos for jalapeno sauce, or what ever you’d like.
Practice making a good roux and all sauces will be at your disposal.
