Granny's Mexican Cornbread


1 ½ c. self rising corn meal
½ c. cooking oil (I use bacon drippings) (¼ in skillet and ¼ in mixture
pinch of salt and baking powder
¼ c. chopped onion
1 sm. container sour cream
1 sm. can cream style corn
2 eggs

Mix all ingredients together, and pour into hot iron skillet and bake at 400 degrees until done about 45 min or so.
