Avocado Salad (guacamole) is a mashed, avocado based salad, dip or spread. This Aztec food is prepared by mashing the avocado and then adding tomatoes and a little salt. The name “guacamole” in the original language means “avocado sauce.” Most people prepare the salad with the original ingredients, namely, avocado, tomatoes and salt. Some add lemon juice, both for flavor and to prevent the blackening of the avocado.

2 cloves of garlic, chopped
1/2 hot green pepper, chopped
2 fresh avocado and soft
3 tablespoons lemon juice
A handful of chopped coriander
Diced tomatoes

Put all of the ingredients into a bowl. Add the avocado and mash lightly.
Add the lemon juice and coriander and stir.
Guacamole can be served alongside meat, tortillas, tacos, or as a side salad.
Enjoy your meal!
