Hazelnut Spice Crinkles

3 squares unsweetened chocolate
2 cups ground Oregon hazelnuts
1 cup sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 eggs – beaten
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons flour
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
Confectioners’ sugar

Gradually blend sugar and salt with beaten eggs; stir in grated chocolate and hazelnuts. Combine with bread crumbs, flour and spices, and mix well. Shape into 1-inch balls. Roll in powdered sugar and place on buttered cookie sheet and bake at 325º for 15 minutes.
