I am on a quest for a special recipe; and since that’s common for me and since I’ve come across this site quite a few times, I thought it was time to join.
Pertinent info: I’m 28, I live in a family of 10 and do a lot of cooking/baking/preserving, and I also do some baking for a friend who has a small tea house.
Food preparation and experimentation are my favorite things to do and I get a lot of pleasure from being a “recipe detective” and reproducing things I’ve tasted and really like. I’ve also begun reproducing recipes for friends who bring me stuff and say, “Can you figure out how to make this?”

Mackinac Island Fudge (the shortcut version that doesn’t rely on the proper humidity and copper pans to work…)
I also make up a fair number of recipes, which is always fun. I’m looking forward to learning from others who enjoy the same sport!
