Anyone have any dog treat recipes they want to share? 
This isn’t homemade, but my chihuahuas just love Pork Rinds as a treat. They are made in the USA and made for people to eat. I don’t trust store bought dog treats anymore after the poison food from China. Another safe treat is Jerky made in the USA for people to eat. The chihuahuas also like beef jerky and turkey jerky.
If you make anything homemade, avoid garlic and onion products as ingredients. Both are bad for dogs and cats. Some older recipes call for garlic powder. Leave it out, it affects pets blood chemistry and makes them anemic. Google dogs and cats and garlic and onions for more info.
I’ve had my current chihuahuas about 2 years. They replaced my older dogs that passed on, a 14-year old Dalmatian and a 17-year old chihuahua.
My vet recommended to never feed my miniature schnauzers people food. It creates plaque on their teeth which can cause health problems. My oldest dog has had her teeth cleaned twice, and upon the second time he asked if I was feeding them people food. I said yes at dinner I feed them tidbits. He recommended that I stop that because that contributed to the plaque. He said no people food along with feeding them dry food, and give them rawhide chews which will help remove plaque.
