Honey Mustard Beef Meatballs

Comments: Serve along with mashed potatoes, carrot pieces and broccoli flowerets.

Ingredients Preparation

1 pound [454 g] lean ground beef
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup [60 mL] rolled oats
2 tablespoons [30 mL] old-fashioned mustard
2 tablespoons [30 mL] freshly finely chopped parsley
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon [15 mL] olive oil
1 [10-ounce / 284-mL] can demi glaze sauce
1 tablespoon [15 mL] honey



Mix together ground beef, chopped onion, beaten egg, rolled oats and 1 tablespoon [15 mL] of the mustard into a bowl.
Mix in finely chopped parsley; salt and pepper.
Shpae mixture into 16 meatballs using approximately 3 tablespoons [45 mL] of the mixture.
Over medium heat, preheat olive oil until hot.
Brown meatballs turning for 2 minutes.
Pour in demi glaze sauce; stir in remaining mustard along with honey.
Cover and cook, still over medium heat stirring from time to time, for 10 to 12 minutes.
Serve, really hot.
