Hot Apple Pie

This is an excellent after dinner sipping beverage and is quite potent.

1 gal. (well-strained) fresh apple cider. Use frozen if necessary.
1 gal. Motts apple juice.
4 cups sugar.
10 cinnamon sticks.
2 fifths grain alcohol.

Combine cider, juice, sugar and cinnamon sticks in a large stock pot and bring to a boil. Let cool and add grain alcohol. Can be served warm or cooled. Cinnamon taste increases over time. Remove cinnamon sticks when desired taste is reached.

Note: I often cut the recipe to 2 cups of sugar and 1 fifth of grain alcohol.

This is amazing. I’m so going to try this when I have time! I’m not a big fan of cider but I love apple pie so this has potential to taste amazing for me.

This looks brilliant. I think I’ll make a flask of this when I’m next out on a chilly night.

I bookmarked the page and will save it on my cookbook. Thanks for the great share.I’m actually looking for recipes next week for my birthday and it’s and addition to my list.
