Hot Apple Pie

This is an excellent after dinner sipping beverage and is quite potent.

1 gal. (well-strained) fresh apple cider. Use frozen if necessary.
1 gal. Motts apple juice.
4 cups sugar.
10 cinnamon sticks.
2 fifths grain alcohol.

Combine cider, juice, sugar and cinnamon sticks in a large stock pot and bring to a boil. Let cool and add grain alcohol. Can be served warm or cooled. Cinnamon taste increases over time. Remove cinnamon sticks when desired taste is reached.

Note: I often cut the recipe to 2 cups of sugar and 1 fifth of grain alcohol.

This is amazing. I’m so going to try this when I have time! I’m not a big fan of cider but I love apple pie so this has potential to taste amazing for me.
