Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

HOT FUDGE PUDDING CAKE

1 1/4 c all purpose flour
3/4 c sugar
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2tsp baking powder
1/2tsp salt
1/2c milk
2 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1 c sugar
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
dash salt
1 1/3 c water, heated to 120 to 130 F

Heat oven to 350F. In a small bowl, combine flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Stir in milk, margarine and vanilla; blend well. Spread batter in an ungreased 9-inch round or square pan. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa and dash salt; mix well. Sprinkle evenly over cake batter. Pour hot water over sugar mixture. Bake at 350F for 35-45 minutes or until center is set and firm to the touch. Serve warm. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream if desired. Serves: 8
