Italian Sausage Pockets
These are very easy to make - they take very little time to prepare.
Brown 1 lb. bulk Italian sausage (well); drain grease. Ad 1 c. spaghetti sauce - I use my homemade canned but you can use any bottled sauce or even pizza sauce for these.
If you want you can also saute diced onions and peppers for this.
Flatten on a plate individual flaky biscuits and spoon in one table spoon of the sausage mixture (being careful not to get mixture on the edges of the biscuit) pinch edges of the biscuit together to make a pocket. Prick the pocket with a fork and brush the top of each pocket with egg whites. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes or until brown.
