Italian Sausage with Tomatoes and Penne

3 cups uncooked penne (9-oz.)
1 lb. uncooked Italian sausage links, cut lengthwise in half, then cut crosswise into 1/4 in. slices
1 medium summer squash, cut lengthwise in half then cut crosswise into 1/4 in. slices
2 cups grape tomatoes cut lengthwise in half
1/4 cup chopped fresh or 1 Tbsp. dried basil leaves crushed
6 green onions, cut into 1/2 in, pieces
2 Tbsp. olive oil

Cook and drain pasta as per package directions.

Put a little butter in a 12" skillet and cook sausage 4 to 6 minutes, stirring frequently until brown. Stir in broth reduce heat ans simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in squash, tomatoes and 2 Tbsp. of the basil. Bring to a boil reduce heat to low cover and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in the onions, simmer 1 minute.

Toss pasta, oil and remaining 2 Tbsp. basil. Divide pasta to individual bowls. top with sausage mixture.
