just a quickie soup

I made a quickie chicken/vegetable/barley soup today -

it’s a damp, lousy day and I wanted soup but I didn’t have a chicken in the freezer - so I used frozen breast halves

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves in stock pot with chopped onion. sliced carrot, sliced celery; skim; diced breasts (they were frozen when I started), chicken bouillon, salt, pepper, fresh parsley, chopped escarole, diced potatoes and barley

served with crusty Italian bread! (of course!)
