KIWI WALNUT BREAD
2 C. sifted all-purpose flour
1 C. granulated sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 C. canned or cooked kiwi, drained and chopped
3/4 C. chopped walnuts
1 egg, beaten
1 C. butter or margarine, melted
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Sift flour with sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt into
large bowl. Add kiwi and nuts and mix well. Add egg, butter and
vanilla extract. Stir until just blended. Turn into greased and
floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350ÂºF for 1 hour or until done.
