Lemon Jell-O Pound Cake

1 (18-oz) package yellow cake mix (the kind with pudding in the mix)
1 (3-ounce) package lemon gelatin
1 tsp lemon flavoring
3/4 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs

Grease and flour a 10-inch tube cake pan. Preheat oven to 350° F.

Add dry gelatin to dry cake mix and blend well. Add 3/4 cup of water, the lemon flavoring, vegetable oil and eggs (add one egg at a time, and blend well after each addition). Beat batter about 4 minutes on medium speed of mixer.

Pour batter into prepared pan; bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the cake comes out clean. Allow cake to cool in pan about 15 minutes before removing.

Makes 10 to 12 servings.
