Lemon Sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup water
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp grated lemon rind
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp butter
Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt thoroughly. Add water, heat to boiling and cook until clear and thickened, stirring constantly.
Add lemon juice and rind and pour slowly over beaten egg yolk. Cook another minute and add butter.
Makes 1-1/4 cups.
Serve with your favourite dessert.
