Linguine with Clam Sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup butter
2 (6-1/2 oz.) cans minced clams, drained
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup fresh parsley
1 cup fresh parmesan cheese grated
If more moisture is needed, add some milk or cream
1 (9 oz.) package linguine ( I use the fresh that is sold in the dairy case.)

Saute garlic and butter. Add drained clams, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes. Cook linguine according to package directions. Fresh linguine only takes 2 minutes to cook so don’t over cook. Combine linguine and sauce. Add parsley and toss. Add parmesan cheese and toss. Serve immediately.
