Lipton Brisk Iced Tea - homemade - with variations

Lipton Brisk Iced Tea - homemade - with variations
It’s the outstanding on-the-go refresher. Lipton adds zesty lemon flavor to its classic iced black tea blend for an exceptional iced tea taste.

Bring 2 quarts of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add 3 Lipton tea bags and remove from heat and allow to steep for one hour.

Into a 2-qt. pitcher, place 1 cup PLUS 2 T. sugar; add 1/2 teaspoon Kool-Aid lemonade unsweetened drink mix. Add steeped tea; stir to dissolve sugar and Kool-Aid. Additional water can be added to make 2 full quarts, if needed.

Refrigerate 2 hours; serve.

FOR SWEET TEA - Omit the Kool-Aid

FOR HALF LEMONADE AND HALF ICED TEA - Add 1 qt. prepared lemonade, steep 3 tea bags in 1 qt. water

FOR PEACH, RASPBERRY, BLACK CHEERY, ETC. - Substitute various flavors of Kool-Aid - Orange is also very good - choose any flavors you want

FOR GREEN TEA - I steep 6 - 8 Lipton Green Tea bags

You can substitute artificial sweeteners to taste (I can’t help you with that - I don’t use them)

You can substitute honey for the sugar

While you’re at it - try herbal teas!

Create and enjoy!
