Does any one have a recipe for Cracker Barrel carrots. I can never get mine to taste the same, thanks

I have a clone if it will help -
1 lb. fresh, finger-tip-shaped carrots
2 qt. water
2/3 c. sugar
Bring all ingreditnts to a boil. Simmer gently, covered, about 1 hour or til very tender Drain and serve at once.
