MAKE AHEAD BROILED STUFFED PORK CHOPS
1/3 c. orange marmalade
3 T. butter or margarine, melted
1/4 c. slivered almonds
3 c. toasted bread cubes
6 pork chops - 1 1/4-inch thick with pockets
1 T. soy sauce
3 T. orange marmalade
1 T. butter or margarine
Combine first 3 ingredients and 1/4 c. hot water in bowl; mix well. Stir in bread cubes. Spoon into pork chop pockets; secure with skewers. Chill, covered, for several hours if desired. MAKE AHEAD TO THIS POINT.
Combine soy sauce, remaining ingredients and 1 T. water in small saucepan or casserole. Cook over low heat until well blended, stirring constantly or microwave on HIGH, stirring twice. Place chops on rack or grill 5 to 7 inches from heat source. Cook for 20 minutes, turning occasionally. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes longer, turning and basting frequently with marmalade sauce.
