Try using powdered sugar. It dissolves faster. Or use simple syrup (sugar water) that way you don’t have to worry about that super sweet hit at the end.
I just asked the same question over at another forum. Someone (a bartender) gave me excellent recipes for a banana daiquiri, “yellow bird”, and a “bee sting”. I’ve tried two and they were delicious.
