4 egg whites
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup super fine sugar
1 tsp wine vinegar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 -1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds
Use electric mixer,beat egg whites with salt, till soft peaks form. Add sugar gradually, beat 2-3 more minutes. Fold in vanilla and vinegar. Pile merangue onto a flat plate and stand this on an inverted plate in the microwave oven. Cook on full power f or 3 minutes Leave to cool in the oven with door ajar. serve in wedges with Raspberry Sauce
