Miracle Whip Banana Bread
1 cup Miracle whip (or light)
1 cup mashed ripe banana (approx. 3-4 med. bananas)
2 cups white flour
3/4 cup white sugar
2 tsp baking soda
Heat oven to 350 F. Combine wet. In separate bowl combine dry. Add dry to wet and mix. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake for 55-65 minutes. Let stand 10 mintues. Remove from pan and cool completely.
Doesn’t the Miracle Whip give it a funny taste? Wouldn’t it be better and more nutritious to use applesauce…may be cinnamon flavored?
Reminds me of the old chocolate mayonnaise cake. No funny taste, just very rich and moist. I will have to try this one.
Afterall, mayo is oil & eggs.
But yeah, Miracle Whip does have a tiny zing.
Although of course, the suggestion of applesauce instead, would be healthier, but I would think the bread would be rubberier too.
I’ll be giving it a try in the future. Always like banana breads. I’m sure I’ll be adding walnuts too…
