Hello, I am new to this site so here’s my 1st entry! If you want to leave out the beer, I have made it either way and it is equally delicious! Just add a few seasonings so the au jus has more flavor.
Slowcooker French Dip Sandwiches
3 lb Rump Roast
1 can French Onion Soup
1 can Beef Broth
1 can beer(try light beer for less beer flavor)
Fresh hoagie rolls or round rolls
Provolone or Swiss cheese
Put all ingredients in slow cooker on low 8-10 hours or high 4-5 hours.
Before serving, toast the bread and melt the cheese. Give everyone their own bowl of the broth mixture. Enjoy dipping in the au jus!
I like to serve with baked seasoned fries which are good for dipping too!
PS If I run out of beer, or even if I use it, I also like to add a packet of lipton onion soup mix and garlic powder to give the au jus added flavor.[/b]
