Nestle Semi-Sweet icing recipe

Hello Everyone…
I’m snowed in in ND (ha) and decided to make my Mom’s recipe for chocolate icing. It’s a cooked icing and her recipe called for one square of semi-sweet chocolate bars. However, it is very light brown and not as tasty. Current bars are 2 oz each and do you know if the size of the bars have changed over the years? Should I have used two?
