Old-Fashioned Brown Bread

2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups lowfat buttermilk
1/2 cup molasses
1 cup raisins

Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl; mix well. Spoon mixture into 3 well-greased 1-lb coffee cans; let stand for 30 minutes. Bake; uncovered at 350° for 50 minutes. Cool in cans 10 minutes. Remove from cans and cool on wire racks.

Yield: 6 slices per loaf - serve warm with margarine
