Today I made a pot of sausage soup - with 2 feet of snow out there and having to shovel 3 times so far today (and the day is not over!) I was in no mood for cooking!

1 lb. (+/-) polish sausage (kielbasa) sliced on the diagonal
1 small onion, diced
2 ribs celery, sliced
2 carrots, chunked
Fresh ground pepper
6 - 7 chicken bouillon cubes
Salt to taste

Fill pot with cold water - bring to boil - when sausage is cooked I added diced potatoes, just before the potatoes were done cooking I added choped cabbage - simmer until cabbage is done and enjoy with potato bread.

A nice tummy warmer to enjoy during a snowstorm!!

Sometimes I put noodles or macaroni (of choice) in the soup instead of cabbage. With noodles or macaroni - I add frozen peas or corn during last 5 minutes of cooking.

And there is enough for tomorrow’s lunch!
