Oriental Pork Tenderloin

(4 portions)

¼ cup hoisin sauce
¼ cup honey
¼ cup ketchup
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tsp Chinese five-spice blend
2 pork tenderloins, 7½ oz (225 g) each
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 375 F.

In a bowl, mix hoisin sauce, honey, ketchup, garlic and five-spice blend. Baste each tenderloin with 1 Tbsp of the mixture.

Place tenderloins on a rack in a shallow pan and insert a meat thermometer in thickest part of one of the tenderloins.

Roast for 15-20 minutes or until thermometer reads 160 degrees F.

Meanwhile, in small pan, heat remaining basting sauce and ¼ cup water over medium-low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Take tenderloins out of oven and let stand for 2-3 minutes. Slice thin, season to taste and top with a little sauce.
