P.F. Chang’s BBQ Sauce
This recipe from P.F. Chang’s and used on their short ribs appetizer. It’s sweet and tangy with lots of Asian flavors. A nice Asian-style sauce to try on your favorite entrees.

In bowl, whisk thoroughly -
3 cups ketchup
1 1/2 ounce hoisin sauce
2 ounces sake
2 1/2 ounces soy sauce
2 ounces water

Add, mixing well, until all the sugar has dissolved -
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely minced
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 teaspoons five spice powder
1 teaspoon ground star anise
1 1/2 cup sugar

If not using immediately, cover tightly and this will store in the fridge for about 2 weeks.
