Parmesan Potato Wedges

Parmesan Potato Wedges

4 large potatoes
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash and scrub potatoes. Cut into wedges, about 6 per potato. Mix together the rest of ingredients on a large plate. Roll wedges in butter and then press seasoning mixture into wedges, covering well. Place on a cookie sheet sprayed with Pam or oil. Bake for 30 minutes, turn and bake 30 minutes more.

OK Neb…just me trying to figure out a lower calorie version of this. What are your thoughts on…substituting beaten egg white OR beaten eggs OR Egg Beaters for the 1/2 cup butter? Then continue with your recipe as you posted??? What about using sweet potatoes?
Just wondering! This really sounds good. For some reason, way too many calories have been disappearing down this throat this summer.

Thanks for the posting…and for putting up with me (everyone else also) for trying to tamper with yummy recipes.

What I do usually is instead of using the melted butter called for I sub. the butter spray since they have no calories and it works just as well.
