PEANUT BLOSSOM BARS
1/2 c. Sugar
1/2c. Light Brown Sugar, packed
1 stick Butter, softened
1/2 c. Peanut Butter
2-3 T. Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 Egg
1 3/4 c. Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
40 Milk Chocolate Kisses, unwrapped
Heat oven to 350°.
In large bowl combine sugars, butter and peanut
butter; beat until light and fluffy. Add milk, vanilla and blend well. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup level off, add flour, soda and salt to mixture, mix well, press into ungreased 9X13 inch pan.
Bake for 19-24 minutes, edge will be golden brown. Remove from oven, immediately press kisses into bars,forming 5 rows of 8 kisses each. Let cool completely. Cut into bars with a kiss in the center of each. Not too sweet cookies that you can add peanut butter chips in and use crunchy peanut butter if you like.
Yield: 40 bars.
