These candies taste like a cross between a peanut butter cup and a chocolate crunch bar. They are a favorite amongst the neighborhood kids…and softball team…and basketball team…etc.
1 (18 oz.) jar creamy peanut butter
1/2 Cup butter
2 Cups powdered sugar, sifted
3 Cups Rice Krispies
1 (8 oz.) Hershey chocolate bar
1 (6 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/8 pound paraffin
Cream peanut butter and butter well; add powdered sugar. Knead Rice Krispies into sugar mixture by hand. Roll into small balls in palms of hands. Set aside. In a double boiler, melt chocolates and paraffin together, stirring. Drop balls into chocolate to coat; remove with forks or candy lifter. Let dry on waxed paper. Store in refrigerator. Serve at room temperature.
