Use:
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can water or chicken broth (use soup can to measure)
1 can rice (white or brown)
4-6 pork chops
1 small onion , sliced (optional)
flour for dredging
salt and pepper to taste
Mix 1 can soup with rice and broth. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour and brown in skillet. Place the rice mixture in the crock pot,top with sliced onions. Lay the pork chops on top of the onion. Cook on low setting for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
I love quick and easy cooking and crockpot recipes are the best!
I do this recipe all the time but use a large can of chicken & rice soup. I have also done a boneless pork roast, and boneless chops and have not browned them before placing them in the crock pot. It all works and taste great. Coming home from work after working all night, this recipe works great just tossing it all in the pot.
Do u use cooked rice? One can of uncooked rice I would thing would take more liquid. Is it suppose to be a can of rice or a cup of rice? Thanks for your help…
