Queen Anne Cherry Fruit Salad

This is also very good and cooling for a very hot day.

1 cup Queen Anne cherries, pitted
1/2 cup crushed pineapple
1 3-ounce box lemon jello
1 cup hot pineapple juice
1 1/2 cups ginger ale
1/2 envelope plain gelatin
1 Tablespoon crystallized ginger
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/4 cup water

Dissolve plain gelatin in 1/4 cup water. Add the hot pineapple juice to the lemon jello and the dissolved plain gelatin. Stir until well mixed. Cool. Add cherries, pineapple, crystallized ginger, almonds and ginger ale. Pour into an 8 cup mold and chill. Especially good served with chicken salad. Serves 8
