really easy peach cobbler

I need a really easy peach cobbler recipe for my wife but she doesnt like recipes that are too complicated.

this one makes its own crust:

1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup milk
1 (29 ounces) can peach slices

8 servings
45 minutes start to finish (approx.) - 5 mins prep

Melt margarine in a 2-quart baking dish.
Sift dry ingredients.
Add milk.
Pour this mixture over margarine.
Do not stir.
Place peaches and syrup on top of this.
Bake in 350 degree oven until brown.
About 40 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Melt 1 stick of butter in the bottom of a 13 X 9 inch pan

Mix together & pour over melted butter:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 cups milk

Mix together:
1/2 tsp almond or vanilla extract
1- 29 oz. can peaches & syrup (cut up peaches into chunks)
You can add nutmeg or cinnamon

Pour over batter

Sprinkle with granulated sugar

Bake for 40-45 minutes

1 Larger can peaches with juice, or 2 small cans of peaches.
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 egg 1 stick butter, melted.

Preheat oven to 350. Pour fruit and juice into 9-inch x13-inch pan. Mix dry ingredients in bowl, stir egg into dry ingredients and sprinkle mixture over peaches, Pour over all and bake at 350 F for 45-60 minutes . ( you may sprinkle additional sugar and cinnamon on top after baking for 30 minutes)

you can also melt a stick of butter in a baking pan, cover with drained peaches (large can) and sprinkle with and oatmeal cookie mix - bake till done - 350

1 Cup Bisquick
1 Cup Milk
1 Cup Sugar
1 Stick Margarine
1 Large Can Peaches – in Heavy Syrup

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Melt the margarine in the (13"x9") pan.

Mix the milk, sugar and Bisquick together in a bowl. Pour into the melted margarine.

Pour off half the syrup from the peaches.

Spread the peaches with the remaining syrup on top of the batter.

Bake 45 minutes. Serve warm.

Yields one 13"x9" Pan

I use a prepared yellow cake mix which I strew over canned peaches. Dot with butter and bake.

2 C. Bisquick
2 C. milk
dash of cinnamon
2 sticks butter, melted
2 C. sugar
2 large cans peaches, drained

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  • Mix Bisquick, milk, cinnamon and 1/2 C. of the sugar. Stir in butter and put in a 13X9 casserole dish.

  • In a separate bowl, mix peaches and remaining sugar. Spoon over batter.

  • Bake 50-60 minutes. Enjoy! 8)

NOTE: This recipe is similar as one above. However, preparation is different. I guess great minds think alike!

Peach Cobbler for one:
I sprinkle Peaches/Cream Instant Oatmeal packets over canned or fresh peaches with a couple dabs of butter. One packet is usually enough for a person with as many peaches as you like. Pop it in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Quick and easy.

Also works with apples and apple flavored oatmeal, etc.
