Really Simple Barbeque Sauce
ea Onion, finely chopped
3 tb Worcestershire sauce
2 tb Fat or cooking oil
1/2 c Water
2 tb Vinegar
1/2 ts Tabasco sauce
2 tb Brown sugar
-salt to taste
4 tb Lemon juice
-Liquid Smoke may be added If desired
1 c Catsup
Brown onion in the oil and add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 30 minutes. Transfer to a blender and thoroughly blend, making a smooth sauce, ready for beef, chicken, pork, or little fuzzy lambs…
Mrs. Gitt’s BBQ Sauce
Chandler, Arizona 1980
1 Small bottle catsup 2 T Butter
1 Onion, diced 3 T Worcester Sauce
2 T Balsamic Vinegar 4 T lemon Juice
½ C Packed Brown Sugar 1/3 C water
½ C Celery, diced 1 T Liquid Smoke
1 T Mustard 1 tsp. Celery Salt
Dash Salt Dash Tabasco
Add Chili Powder to taste
Mix all ingredients but Liquid Smoke. Simmer for ½ an hour.Bake ribs for ½ hour at 450o . Dribble Liquid Smoke over ribs.Reduce heat to 350o for 1 hour and pour sauce over ribs. Cook until the rest of dinner is ready.
