Sea Salt - Kosher Salt - Iodized Salt

I really would like to read something that explains the differences between all these except for grain fineness.

When do we use each one and why??? I always thought salt was salt…NaCl in chemistry class a hundred years ago…

I do think I use less salt with the ground salt cellar…

Thanks, Tykee

Kosher salt has no additives. Iodized, obviously has iodine added. Sea salt is made by evaporating sea water which leaves in more of the natural minerals than table salt which is mined from salt beds underground and processed. The main difference among the three is taste. There are many other kinds of salts as well, all with their distinctive flavor.

Thank you for the information. Now I know as well!!
