I always ordered the chimichanga when I went because I LOVED the sauce they put on it. I have never had anything like it since, not even close to it. It was almost like a gravy-maybe, it’s been years ago. The restaurant went out of business here years ago and maybe everywhere. Any Chi Chi’s chimi fans out there who know what I’m referring to and maybe know the recipe or have a good guess? Always wondered and would love to have it again.
* 125ml Tomato ketchup * 1 Large onion * 2 Large garlic cloves * 1tbsp Grainy mustard * 1tsp Worcestershire sauce
* Soften the onion and garlic for 2-3 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to the boil. Simmer for 10 minutes until reduced into a thick sauce.
