shepards pie recipe

INGREDIENTS
1 lb ground chuck
1 package taco seasoning 1.25 oz
1 can 14.5 oz can regular green beans
1 can 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ cup chopped onions
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup ketchup or catup
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups instant potatos
1 stick of butter
1 tablespoon salt

Directions
be sure to drain your diced tomatoes and green beans well before adding to the meat mixture.
brown meat well, and drain return to skillet and add the diced tomatoes, mix well then add the taco seasoning and mix well again, add the catsup or ketchup salt and pepper to taste, add the 1/2 C chopped onions ,the sugar and mix well uncovered while meat mixture is simmering on low heat.

In a pan of water 2cup a ½ capful of white vingar use white vingar only if you are using whole potatos not for instant ones ok. add,2 C instant potatoes or 6 regular potatoes diced and cooked until fork tender drain well, mash potatoes and add 1 stick of butter or margarine salt and pepper to taste.
In a baking dish pour meat mixture and spread evenly in baking dish, then add the potatoes, make sure they are spreadable not loose but just right for spreading and make sure to seal all edges, you can add sliced cheese of your choice to the meat mixture on top if you want that cheesy flavor then add the potatoes on top, once done preheat over to 350 and bake 20 -30 minutes or until lightly brown on top.
I won a live spot on our tv channel here in springfield with this recipe, also it can be doubled and tripled also, so this is a great recipe for church, family gathering, or anytime so have fun with it…

Love the recipe…I used tator tots for a change, I put sliced cheese on top of meat mixture and then tots.
