Short-cut Homestyle Beef Stew

1 ( lb.) cubed round steak 1 onion, chopped 1 T. oil 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomato wedges 1 ( 14 1/2 oz. ) can sliced new potatoes, drained 1 ( 14 1/2 oz.) can mixed vegetables, drained 1 ( 12 oz.) jar beef gravy
Brown steak that has beeen cut in small pieces and onion in oil in large skillet. Add other ingredients. Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until meat is tender, stirring often.
