Sikeston High School Yeast Rolls
Ingredients:
1 pint warm water or milk
1 tsp salt
4 tbls sugar
4 tbls shortening
2 pkg yeast
4 1/2 cups flour - plus
Mix water and the next 4 ingredients together. Then stir in 4 1/2 cups of flour - may need a little more. Work flour in a little a time. Let rise till double in size. Knead down. Pinch off golf ball size pieces and shape, put in pans, sides touching. Let rise a little more. Pop in oven 400º, watch until golden brown.
