1 CUP SLICED MUSHROOMS
1 GREEN ONION, CHOPPED
2 TBSP KRAFT SIGNATURE BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE DRESSING
4 SHEETS FROZEN PHYLLO, THAWED
2 TBSP BUTTER OR MARGARINE, MELTED
1 – 125g PKG KRAFT BRIE CHEESE
ASSORTED CRACKERS

PREHEAT OVEN TO 400°F.

COOK MUSHROOMS & ONION IN DRESSING IN FRYING PAN UNTIL TENDER. SET ASIDE TO COOL.

BRUSH ONE SHEET OF PHYLLO LIGHTLY WITH MELTED BUTTER. COVER WITH REMAINING 3 PHYLLO SHEETS, BRUSHING EACH LAYER WITH BUTTER. CUT 10-INCH CIRCLE FROM STACK. (DISCARD TRIMMINGS.)

CUT BRIE IN HALF HORIZONTALLY. PLACE ONE HALF OF CHEESE IN CENTRE OF PHYLLO STACK; TOP WITH HALF OF THE MUSHROOM MIXTURE. TOP WITH OTHER HALF OF CHEESE & REMAINING MUSHROOMS. WRAP PHYLLO AROUND CHEESE, FOLDING PHYLLO AS NEEDED TO COMPLETELY ENCLOSE CHEESE. BRUSH WITH REMAINING BUTTER. PLACE ON BAKING SHEET OR PIE PLATE.

BAKE 15 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. SERVE AT ONCE WITH CRACKERS.

Shrimp Spread

1 Lb (41 – 50 Count), Frozen Shrimp Cooked, Peeled, Deveined & Divided
1 – 8 Oz Tub Philadelphia Cream Cheese Spread
¾ Cup Finely Chopped Celery
¼ Cup Finely Chopped Stuffed Green Olives
Ritz Crackers

Chop Enough Shrimp Into Small Pieces To Measure 1 Cup;
Reserve Remaining Whole Shrimp For Garnish.

Combine Chopped Shrimp, Cream Cheese, Celery & Olives
In Medium Bowl Until Well Blended.

Spoon Onto Centre Of Platter Or Dinner Plate. Shape
Into 6-inch Round. Press Reserved Whole Shrimp Into Side
Of Spread.

Serve With Crackers.

Do Ahead: Dip Can Be Made A Day Ahead For A Stronger Shrimp Flavour. Keep Refrigerated Until Ready To Serve.

Smoked Salmon Rounds

4 Oz Philadelphia Whipped Plain Cream Cheese Product
1 Tbsp Chopped Fresh Dill
2 Tsp Grated Lemon Peel
1 English Cucumber, Cut Into 48 - ¼ Inch Slices
½ Lb Smoked Salmon, Cut Into 48 Small Pieces

Mix Cream Cheese, Dill & Lemon Peel Until Well Blended.

Top Each Cucumber Slice With 1 Tsp Of The Cream Cheese Mixture.

Roll Up Smoked Salmon Pieces & Place On Cream Cheese Topped Cucumbers.

Substitute: Prepare As Directed Using Your Favourite Flavour Philadelphia Whipped Cream Cheese.

For An Elegant Touch, Instead Of Chopping The Dill, Tuck A
Small Sprig Into The Rolled Salmon.

Salmon & Philly Toasts

Combine 1 – 8 Oz Tub Philadelphia Cream Cheese Spread With A Few Spoonfuls Of Chopped Fresh Dill.

Spread Cheese Mixture On Pumpernickel Or Dark Rye Bread.

Top With Slices Of Smoked Salmon.

MINI BRIE & PEPPER JELLY PHYLLO CUPS

3 PHYLLO PASTRY SHEETS
4 TSP BUTTER, MELTED
1 – 125g PKG KRAFT BRIE CHEESE

PREHEAT OVEN 350°F.

LAY ONE SHEET OF PHYLLO ON WORK SURFACE. BRUSH WITH BUTTER; FOLD IN HALF TO MAKE 12 X 8-INCH RECTANGLE. BRUSH TOP WITH BUTTER; CUT INTO 2-INCH SQUARES. STACK 2 SQUARES, ON AN ANGLE, TO MAKE 4
THICKNESSES; PRESS 1 STACK INTO EACH OF 36 MINIATURE (1½-INCH) MUFFIN CUPS.

CUT BRIE INTO 12 TRIANGLES & EACH TRIANGLE INTO 3 PIECES. FILL CUPS WITH CHEESE. BAKE FOR 7 – 8 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN & THE CHEESE IS SLIGHTLY MELTED.

TOP EACH CUP WITH ½ TSP FIRE & ICE HOT PEPPER & ICE WINE JELLY.

DO AHEAD: PHYLLO SHELLS CAN BE BAKED AHEAD OF TIME. COOL, THEN STORE IN SINGLE LAYER IN COOKIE TIN OR BOX IN COOL DRY PLACE FOR UP TO 1 MONTH. FILL WITH CHEESE JUST BEFORE SERVING, THEN BAKE AS DIRECTED.

White Bean Dip

1 – 19 Oz Can White Kidney Beans, Drained
½ Cup Philadelphia Cream Cheese Spread
½ Cup Sour Cream
2 Tbsp Chopped Mild Green Chiles
1 Pkg. (200 G) Kraft Tex Mex Shredded Cheese, Divided
1/3 Cup Finely Chopped Green Onions

Preheat Oven 350°f.

Mash Beans In Large Bowl. Add Cream Cheese, Sour Cream & Chiles; Mix Well. Remove ½ Cup Of The Shredded Cheese; Refrigerate For Later Use.

Stir Remaining Shredded Cheese Into Bean Mixture. Spread Into Lightly Greased 8-inch Casserole Or Baking Dish.

Bake 20 Minutes; Sprinkle With The Reserved ½ Cup Shredded Cheese. Continue Baking 5 Minutes Or Until Shredded Cheese Is Melted.

Sprinkle With Onions. Serve With Triscuit Thin Crisps Crackers & Assorted Cut-up Vegetables, If Desired.

Do Ahead: Assemble As Directed. Cover & Refrigerate Up To 24 Hours. When Ready To Serve, Uncover & Bake As Directed.

1 – 300g PKG FROZEN CHOPPED SPINACH, COOKED, WELL DRAINED
½ CUP KRAFT MOZZARELLA SHREDDED CHEESE
1/3 CUP PHILADELPHIA LIGHT CREAM CHEESE SPREAD
1 TBSP KRAFT 100% PARMESAN GRATED CHEESE
1 TBSP FINELY CHOPPED ONION
1/4 TSP GARLIC POWDER
24 THIN SLICES DELI STYLE TURKEY BREAST (ABOUT ½ LB)

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350°F.

MIX ALL INGREDIENTS EXCEPT TURKEY UNTIL WELL BLENDED.

FLATTEN TURKEY SLICES; PLACE 1 SLICE IN EACH OF 24 MINIATURE MUFFIN PAN CUPS. FILL EACH WITH 1½ TSP OF THE SPINACH MIXTURE.

BAKE 15 MINUTES OR UNTIL HEATED THROUGH.

SERVE WARM.

DO AHEAD: ASSEMBLE APPETIZERS SEVERAL HOURS IN ADVANCE; COVER & REFRIGERATE. UNCOVER & BAKE AS DIRECTED.

1 CUP KRAFT GREEK FETA CRUMBLED CHEESE
1 – 300g PKG. FROZEN CHOPPED SPINACH, THAWED, WELL DRAINED
9 SHEETS FROZEN PHYLLO PASTRY, THAWED
1/3 CUP BUTTER, MELTED

COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS EXCEPT PHYLLO & BUTTER; SET ASIDE. PLACE 1 OF THE PHYLLO SHEETS ON CLEAN WORK SURFACE; BRUSH LIGHTLY WITH BUTTER. TOP WITH 2 MORE PHYLLO SHEETS, BRUSHING MORE OF THE REMAINING BUTTER BETWEEN EACH LAYER. PLACE REMAINING PHYLLO BETWEEN SHEETS OF PLASTIC WRAP; SET ASIDE.

SPREAD ONE-THIRD OF THE SPINACH MIXTURE ALONG ONE SHORT SIDE OF PHYLLO STACK. FOLD IN ENDS; ROLL UP TO MAKE LOG. BRUSH WITH SOME OF THE REMAINING BUTTER. REPEAT WITH REMAINING PHYLLO SHEETS, SPINACH MIXTURE & BUTTER. TO PREVENT PHYLLO FROM CRACKING, SCORE LOGS AT 1-INCH INTERVALS.

This sound great! Regarding the Spinach Phyllo Roll-ups, is the cup of Kraft Greek Feta Crumbled Cheese a salad dressing? Sorry if this sounds stupid. I get a lot of company, especially around the Holiday’s, and make-ahead foods help ease the stress of entertaining.

no, no, doesn’t sound stupid at all. it’s 1 cup of crumbled feta cheese. i got the recipe from the kraftcanada website and of course they pump their own brands. lol

i’ve posted tons of appetizer recipes in here. just do a search. you’ll find them.

if you like make ahead appetizers…try the ham picky’s. they freeze quite well. if you can’t find the recipe, let me know and i’ll send it to you.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I haven’t been on this site since that post. I was surprised with a visit from my seven siblings and their families for my big 50. It has been insane here. Boy, the make-and-freeze appetizers would have come in very handy this past weekend. Good news is that they did most of the cooking, but my kitchen is destroyed and I can’t find anything LOL.

I will check out all of your appetizer recipes. Better get my butt in gear before the next “surprise” visit.
