Sour Cream

2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup buttermilk

Pour into a qt. glass jar/container. Stir to mix thoroughly. Put the lid on and tighten then back it off just a bit.
Place in a warm spot not drafty area. On top of the stove if not using or in the oven are excellent places.
Leave for 24 hrs. then stir with a wooden spoon and if not thick enough let it sit 4 to 8 hrs.
(may take longer, depending on the place you have it) and check again. This needs to be the thick like the kind you buy.

Use within three weeks.

The funny thing about this is she was trying to make butter, and it ended making sour cream. Many times we tried to make one thing and ended with something else which very palatable. I appreciate your thanks.
