Southwestern Pizza
1 ball of pre-made pizza dough
¾ c. barbecue sauce
1 tsp. cumin
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 8-oz. sirloin steak
1 roasted red pepper, sliced
1 c. smoked mozzarella, grated
½ c. Vidalia onion, thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Place pizza dough on cookie sheet. Form into a flat round.
Cover pizza dough with BBQ sauce and cumin. Salt and pepper to taste.
Combine olive oil and Worcestershire sauce and marinate steak for half an hour. Grill each side for about 4 to 5 minutes. Allow steak to rest for 5 minutes. Slice into thin strips and place over BBQ sauce layer on pizza.
Add peppers, smoked mozzarella and onion.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
YIELD: 4
You can replace the smoked mozzarella with smoked provolone or goat cheese.
