Spaghetti Sauce


1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1 T. sugar
1 t. salt
1 t. oregano
1 t. dried parsely flakes
1/4 t. anise
1 medium bay leaf
1 T. grated Parmesan cheese
1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes, undrained
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste

Brown beef in skillet; drain off excess fat. Transfer to crockpot; add remaining ingredients; stir thoroughly. Cover and cook on LOW 10 to 12 hours.

serve over cooked pasta of choice.
