Strawberry Bavarian Cream
1 (3 oz) box strawberry gelatin (Jell-O, Royal, etc)
1 cup boiling water
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup strawberry jam
12 small marshmallows, cut fine
1/2 cup almonds, coarsley chopped
1 cup cream, whipped
3 tbsp granulated sugar
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water, add salt and lemon juice and chill.
When it has thickened somewhat, beat it with a rotary beater until
of the consistency of whipped cream.
Fold in the strawberry jam, the marshmallows and nuts and the whipped
cream, which has been sweetened with sugar.
Spoon lightly into sherbet glasses and chill.
Garnish with candied cherries.
