Sweet and Sour Spareribs
4 green onions, finely chopped
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2/3 cup white wine vinegar
2 teaspoons hot English mustard
3 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
5 tablespoons sundried tomato paste
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 [2 1/4-pound] piece uncut spareribs
Mix together chopped green onions, lemon juice, white wine vinegar, hot mustard, brown sugar, Worcesershire sauce and sundried tomato paste into a casserole.
Salt, pepper then bring mixture to a boil.
Stir, lower heat and leave sauce to simmer slowly stirring from time to time for 30 minutes.
Preheat barbecue to medium intensity; transfer casserole on the side of the barbecue.
Using a sharp knife, cut deep slits all along the piece of spareribs before coating one side with sauce.
Grill sprareribs, coated side down over medium embers coating with sauce and turning ribs often for approximately 60 to 90 minutes, until really well-done and tender.
