Sweet Surprise: All-Year Gelatin Cakes

Prepare 1 yellow cake mix according to package directions for 9x13 pan and bake. While still hot, poke holes in top with fork and pour over 1 package strawberry gelatin (prepared with 1 cup hot water only). Allow to cool, then top with 1 8 oz. package prepared vanilla pudding, then top again with 8 oz. white whipped topping.

For spring variation, replace gelatin with lime and pudding with lemon flavors.

For holiday variation, replace cake with chocolate flavor, gelatin with black cherry flavor, pudding with chocolate or white chocolate flavor or 14 oz. cherry pie filling, and whipped topping with chocolate or french vanilla flavor. Enjoy all year round!
